I also had the wonderful experience of a week at a cooking school just south of Orvietto when I graduated from Medical School.  I went back there the next year free of charge for a few days because the owners two very protective German Shepherds bit the ultimate shit out of my my back when I was a guest.  The dogs didn't know better, they were just doing their job.
Anyway, Lot's of experience cooking.  Was brought up in the South where cooking was an art form.  My Maternal Grandmother and my Mother are two of the best cooks you will ever find.  My Grandmother always said she was never a Chef...she just cooked rations.  But what rations they were!

I am new to food blogging, but can not wait to share my experiences with all of those who may be following.  I enjoy all ethnic cuisine and love it exotic, spicy and peculiar.  Warning though, the only food group that I do not enjoy is anything to do with Chocolate.  Sorry, I just can not stomach the stuff.  Give me a Vietnamese field rat or a Laotian bowl of cold spicy noodles and I am okay.  But please, lay off the Chocolate.
Thanks,
John

Ciao!

Just started a blog. I was inadvertently sent to a blog creation site after visiting one of my favorite food sites, Food Wishes. I will attempt to blog later about my foodie finds and interests. I can tell you that my current favorites are Italian, Thai, and Vietnamese. All about simplicity, flavor and herbs, not to mention a little heat! JP
